My name is Brandon Munday. I’m 42 years old and own and operate Old North State Tattoo Co. in Winston-Salem NC.
I began tattooing in November of 2001 in the mountains of North Carolina. In the 16 years following I travelled a lot and lived all over the world. I lived and tattooed in Verona, Italy for 3 years, Portland OR, Boise ID, Los Angeles, CA are all cities that I grew as an artist, amongst many other small towns across the US.
I met my wife in 2012 and have shared many of these homes with her.
I opened Old North State Tattoo Co. in August of 2017 and have focused on making sure my shop provides not only the best tattooing but also the best experience for our customers. I work with 8 amazing tattooers that make the shop what it has become and for that I’m thankful!
Beyond tattooing, I’ve played music all of my life and have been lucky to tour the world with different bands over the years. I also co-own a custom knife making company named EQV KNIVES that keeps me busy. Working and making art with my hands seems to be the common theme in the life I’ve lived.
In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my wife traveling as much as possible. We have no children but my wife and I are proud parents of four boy cats that are forever keeping us on our toes!
